Nicolás Acuña, director of recognized national and Latin American series and founder of Promocine, will be the representative of the production company in the framework of the 2021 version of The Industry Club market.

On this occasion, our company seeks alliances for the co-production and financing of three series that make up the portfolio of projects under development in 2021. One of these is “La Memoria del Algodón”, a fictional series set in the period of the Unidad Popular in Chile .

Synopsis:

“Inspired by real events that occurred in Chile between ‘69 and ‘73, this drama follows the story of Luisa, a young worker who enters to work in Yarur, the most modern textile factory in Latin America. There are intertwined the lives of hundreds of workers who, tired of the harsh working conditions they suffer from day to day, decide to take over the factory, laying the foundations of the so-called “Chilean road to socialism.” During the self-management process of the company they will be faced with sabotage, leadership disputes, betrayals and secret love affairs, which threaten their sense of camaraderie as the historical and political course brings them to an abrupt end. “
